Ahoy mateys! Year 1 have spent the afternoon as pirates, exploring geography in the most adventurous way! They've been identifying key features such as beaches and coasts , while using simple compass directions to create their very own treasure maps There's been plenty of swashbuckling fun, with pirate activities galore – including battleships and lots of imaginative play! A fantastic afternoon of learning and adventure!!

Following the success of our recent coffee morning , we're delighted to introduce a new 6-week Anxiety Support Course for parents and carers! Led by Ailis Carey from Compass – Changing Lives Hosted here at Sunnyside Designed to help you better understand anxiety and support your child with confidence This friendly and supportive course will give you: Practical strategies to use at home A deeper understanding of children's anxiety A chance to share experiences with other parents Confidence in supporting your child If you feel this could help you and your family, we would love to hear from you! HEADTEACHER'S AWARD! This week's Headteacher's Award goes to Ronnie! Mrs White had the pleasure of teaching the Squirrels this week and was absolutely blown away by Ronnie! He was a superstar pupil throughout the afternoon. Ronnie showed brilliant listening skills, made sensible choices, and set a fantastic example to those around him. On top of that, his PE skills were amazing full of energy, control, and great effort from start to finish! Well done, Ronnie what a fantastic week. Keep up the brilliant work!

ATTENDANCE BEARS UPDATE! This week, Everyday Elsa goes to the Foxes! Fantastic news Foxes have done it AGAIN for the second week on the bounce! Outstanding attendance and brilliant consistency absolutely amazing effort! On Time Ozzy goes to the Owls! A perfect week for punctuality NO lates at all! Superb effort from everyone in Owls Class, setting the standard brilliantly! Huge well done to all classes for their continued effort with attendance and punctuality keep it up, everyone!

Just a reminder that school will be closed on Monday for the May Bank Holiday! Enjoy the extra long weekend, make the most of the sunshine , relax , and hopefully fire up the BBQ! See you all back on Tuesday!

KS1 Move a Mile! KS1 had a fab afternoon at the park taking part in Move a Mile! The children completed their mile on bikes, scooters, on foot, and even on roller skates – amazing effort all round! The sunshine was lovely and everyone enjoyed a cool ice pop at the end Always such a lovely afternoon.
