Today we said goodbye to our wonderful Year 2s! What an incredible year group you have been! We are so proud of everything you have achieved, the friendships you have made, and the memories we have shared together. As you get ready for your next adventure, we know you will continue to shine brightly and make us proud. Good luck, Year 2 – we will miss you all so much! Just ONE more get-up! Don't forget it's non-uniform tomorrow as we celebrate the last day of term together!

A trip down memory lane... We've been digging through the photo archives and found three staff photos from across the years at Newhall Infants... and what a difference time makes! One thing is very clear – our Newhall family has grown so much over the years! (Although, in our most recent photo, a few members of staff were unfortunately missing, so it's not quite the full team!) Now for the fun part... Can you spot any familiar faces? Can you work out which members of staff appear in all three photos? And who do you think has changed the most over the years? (We'll let you decide!)

Today we celebrated our amazing Mrs Teale! With just a few days left as our wonderful Butterflies teacher, we wanted to give her a very special send-off! Mrs Teale was spoiled with handmade cards , beautiful flowers , gift vouchers and even some fizz . We loved hearing all the lovely memories shared by Mrs Leatherbarrow, including special messages from Butterflies past and present and our Year 2 children did a fantastic job singing "This Is Our School" We're going to miss you so much, Mrs Teale, but we know you'll be fantastic in your new school! Thank you for everything you've done for our children and for being such a special part of the Sunnyside family. Good luck from all of us! #SuperSunnyside

And the summer treats don't stop there! Today was our fabulous cake sale! A huge thank you to all our parents for your very kind donations. Sunnyside has the best bakers around! We still have quite a few cakes left, so we'll be selling them again tomorrow morning at 9am in the school hall. Please come along and take a look – there are plenty of tasty treats still waiting to be enjoyed! Thank you again for your continued support. We couldn't do it without you! #SuperSunnyside

Wow, what a day our long-awaited Sunnyside-on-Sea was! The children had the best day ever "better than soft play!" according to Roman We love creating those core childhood experiences and special memories that will stay with our children for years to come. Beach days really are some of the very best memories! For anyone disappointed that the ice cream van was unable to stay after school yesterday, don't worry another ice cream van will be visiting us on Monday! What a fantastic day of sunshine, smiles, and seaside fun! #SuperSunnyside

SUNNYSIDE ON SEA IS TOMORROW!

Today we said goodbye to Mrs Whale! Mrs Whale has been a Midday Supervisor at our school for over 20 years!!! Today we had the chance to give her a very special send-off. We surprised her with a lovely tea party , beautiful flowers , and a handmade card filled with kind messages and memories from the children. Thank you, Mrs Whale, for all the care, kindness, and support you have shown our children at lunchtimes over the years. You have made a difference to so many young lives and will be greatly missed. #SuperSunnyside

Nursery ended the week with their visit to Garden King's Wild Woods soft play, and what a way to finish the week! Despite the heat, they raced around for the entire session and had the best day ever! There were lots of smiles and laughter, the children were absolute superstars throughout. Well done, Nursery – we hope you sleep well tonight! #SuperSunnyside
