We have been learning about the Fire of London in our history topic.
Today we've been acting it out - we were King's men, the baker and family, neighbours, boatmen and fire fighters. Exhausting!
Early on Sunday morning a fire started at a bakery in Pudding Lane.
On Monday the fire spread close to the Tower of London.
On Tuesday St. Paul's Cathedral was destroyed.
On Wednesday the wind died down and the fire spread more slowly.
On Thursday the fire was finally put out.
Can anyone remember what the houses were made of - and why houses were being pulled down?
