It's the start of a brand new school year and I am so pleased with how my new children have settled down.
Have a look below at some of the exciting things we've planned for Term 1!
In Literacy we are reading and working with different books about animals including 'The tiger who came to Tea' and an ebook about ' The pet that flew'.
In Numeracy we are continuing to develop our skills , building on everything we learnt in year 1.
Our first Science topic is based on health and growth and we will be looking at lifecycles.
In Geography we are learning all about Scotland and living on an island. We will be reading the Katie Morag stories which are set on a small Scottish island and through this we will be developing our mapping skills, following directions and learning the points of a compass.
Design and Technology sees us looking at how vehicles move and designing and making our own moving vehicle
.
We will be learning country dancing in PE as well as continuing with our outdoor games.
In ICT we will be researching our topics , using CT studio to create and learn how to save these in our own folder.
Mrs Lerigo is teaching us Art and we will be doing creative work with her linked to our topics.
As you can see , so much is planned so let's make a start and enjoy learning!
