Hello and welcome to Nursery!
The children have settled into Nursery life, routines and expectations really well and are staring to engage with the fantastic learning opportunities that we provide each day. The children are beginning to make positive relationships with the adults and are starting to share some experiences and play ideas with their peers. Well done!
We like to be involved with every aspect of the children's lives inside and outside of school. If you would like to share anything that may help us to talk about their experiences please catch Mrs Hall or Mrs Jones before or after the session. If you need a little longer to discuss something, please see us to arrange a convenient time and date.
We will be settling the children into routines and expectations over this term and be encouraging them to make positive relationships with the adults in the room. We will be sharing stories, rhymes and songs at Carpet Time, playing games to encourage turn taking and begin to work in small group to support sharing and listening to others.
We will be sharing Traditional Tales this term and looking for the signs of Autumn in the Nursery Garden.
We will be focusing on
Goldilocks and the 3 Bears
The 3 Little Pigs
Little Red Riding Hood
The Gingerbread Man
The Scarecrow who didn't scare.
The children will be given opportunities to recall key events and phrases from the stories as well as representing their understanding of the stories through role-play and creative activities.
We will be tasting foods and experiencing different textures, further developing early language skills.
Please see the information sheet on the Nursery Door each day which will tell you the story we are focusing on and which activity we have done that day.
