Summer Term 6
Our History topic is based around our school visit to Sudbury Hall’s Museum of Childhood where we will be learning about Victorian life. We will be finding out about different aspects of Victorian life including schools, toys, laundry and children’s jobs in the past. We will also be having our very own Victorian classroom with a very strict teacher ! Also we will be fact finding about the life and times of Queen Victoria.
In RE we are also hoping to visit St. John’s Church to learn more about Christian weddings.
In English we will be writing poems and tongue twisters and a recount about our school trip. We will also be making our own Leaver’s Book.
In Mathematics we shall be adding further challenge to our work including working with money and measurements. We will also be focusing on solving more complex word problems.
Our Science topic this term is Habitats. We will be learning about living things in their own habitats and local micro habitats. We will also discuss how plastic and rubbish spoils habitats and the environment.
In D and T we will be designing and making a wind up mechanism.
In PE let’s hope the sun is going to shine so that we can do team games outside and get ready for Sports Day.
We will also be carrying on with our athletics coaching with Mr Holland.
In Computer Science we will be continuing our animation work.
